JOHOR BARU: The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system will be used for the first time in the Malaysia Cup this year.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said the system – to review incidents relating to goals, red cards, mistaken identities and penalties – will be put to the test in the semi-finals and final.
