Champion Kasma clinches CP150 victory in opening round


PETALING JAYA: Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin of Petronas Yamaha Maju Motor was an easy CP150 winner in the opening round of the Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

Kasma, the CP130 champion last season, completed yesterday’s 20-lap race at the Temerloh Industrial Park in 14:38.563.

Ahmad Fazli Sham delivered a 1-2 finish for Petronas Yamaha Maju Motor.

He clocked 14:42.819 to finish ahead of pole-sitter Zaqhwan Zaidi who could only manage 14:42.864.

The CP150 is the main race this season, replacing the CP130.

The second leg is in Tangkak, Johor, from March 24-25.
