LONDON (Reuters) - Middlesbrough opened up a two-point gap at the top of the Championship when they beat relegated Bolton Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday while Burnley won by the same scoreline at Birmingham City to go second.
Boro had started the day a point ahead of Brighton, who beat Fulham 5-0 on Friday but dropped to third after Burnley's win at St Andrews.
