ZURICH/NEW YORK (Reuters) - Global football body FIFA has applied to United States authorities for tens of millions of dollars compensation from ex-officials indicted there and recognised that executive committee members had in the past sold their votes in World Cup hosting contests.
FIFA announced on Wednesday it was also seeking repayment of salaries and a full audit of a former top official it says has continued to live an "extravagant lifestyle" while on bail from a New York Court.
