PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have created football history after becoming the first Malaysian team to win an Asian club competition.

On-loan player Leandro Velazquez was the hero for the Super League champions when he scored the 23rd-minute winner to edge Tajikistan’s Istiklol 1-0 in the AFC Cup final at the Republican Central Stadium in Dushanbe.
