(Reuters) - Liverpool's sacked manager Brendan Rodgers said on Monday he was "incredibly disappointed" to be leaving the club after almost 3-1/2 years in charge at Anfield.

The Northern Irishman, whose contract was terminated on Sunday after Liverpool's 1-1 draw in the Merseyside derby at Everton, failed to win a trophy during his tenure.
