Johor appealing to rescind Figueroa's red card in AFC Cup

JOHOR BARU:  The Johor FA have appealed to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to overturn the red card given to their Argentine striker Luciano Figueroa during the second leg of the AFC Cup quarter-final against Hong Kong’s South China.

Figueroa was sent off by referee Fahad Jaber Al-Marri of Qatar for elbowing South China’s Cheung Chi-yung in the 36th minute. JDT won the game 3-1 to qualify for the semi-finals with a 4-2 aggregate win.
