A late goal from Marquinhos gave Brazil's Cruzeiro a 1-0 away win over River Plate in the Libertadores Cup on Thursday, dampening the Argentine side's hopes of progressing further in South America’s premier club competition.

The 26-year-old striker was left unmarked in the box with nine minutes to go and seized on a loose ball to poke home the winner from four yards out.
