Kim Swee names SEA Games football training squad

PETALING JAYA: National Under-23 football coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee has named a 29-player training squad for the Singapore SEA Games in June

Gary Steven Robbat, who plays for Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), is one of the notable players included in the squad. He has just returned to action following a three-month suspension imposed by the FA of Malaysia (FAM) for signing contracts with both JDT and Pahang before being released from the Harimau Muda A squad.

The squad will be trimmed to 20 players two days before the team’s departure to Singapore.

Kim Swee led Malaysia to retain the gold at the 2011 Indonesia Games. Malaysia, however, failed to get past the semi-finals at the 2013 Myanmar Games.
