We will not play on plastic pitch

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia prefer to play on grass surface – and not on an artificial pitch – in the Suzuki Cup Asean Football Federation (AFF) tournament, which kicks off in Singapore next month.

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said the organisers (AFF) had switched the venues for the national team’s opening two matches – against Myanmar (Nov 23) and Thailand (Nov 26) – from the National Stadium (grass) to the Jalan Besar Stadium (artificial pitch).
