PETALING JAYA: Armed Forces have secured the services of Honduras striker Jerry Palacios for the Super League campaign next season.

The 32-year-old Palacios is currently playing for Costa Rican side Alajuelense.

Forces head coach B. Sathianathan said Palacios, who played in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has signed a letter of acceptance to play for the soldiers.

“He (Palacios) has to serve another month with his present club before he joins us,” said Sathianathan on Saturday.

Jerry is the older brother of Wilson Palacios who played for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

The other new signing is former Kelantan defender Obinne Nwaneri. The Nigerian won a treble with the east coast side (Super League, FA Cup and Malaysin Cup) is his debut season in 2012.

Sathianathan said pre-season training will begin next month and they have retained 14 players including skipper Hairuddin Omar.
