Futsal: Malaysia out of quarters after Taiwan defeat


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Futsal Championships ended after being edged 3-2 by Taiwan in their final Group C match at the Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.

Taiwan’s goals were scored by Chang Hao Wei (14th minute), Huang Cheng Tsung (17th) and Weng Wei Pin (26th). Malaysia replied through Mohd Asmie Amir Zahari (20th) and Fitri Yatim (29th).
