(Reuters) - Ivory Coast striker Lacina Traore said on Thursday he had been close to joining West Ham United but opted for Everton instead because their stylish passing game better suited his style.
The 6ft 8ins (2.03 metres) tall international, who joined AS Monaco from Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this month, has unusually, been loaned out immediately to Everton on a six months deal.
