LONDON (Reuters) - The chief executive of former Scottish football champions Rangers quit on Wednesday after only months in the job, saying a battle for control of the club had destabilised it as it tries to rebuild after a financial collapse.
CEO Craig Mather said he hoped his departure would end the "current hysteria" surrounding the running of the Glasgow club which remains one of the best-supported teams in Britain despite playing in the third tier of the Scottish game.
