National U-16 record shock win over South Korea


PETALING JAYA: The national Under-16 side have put themselves in the driver’s seat for a berth in the AFC Under-16 Championship next year after recording a shock 2-0 win over favourites South Korea in a Group H qualifying match at the National Sports Complex Stadium in Vientiane, Laos, on Friday.

Striker Mohd Najmuddin Samat’s goal in the first half’s stoppage time and defender Mohd Amirul Ashraf Ariffin’s 61st minute goal earned them the win.
