Giggs and Neville join United coaching staff

MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - Midfielder Ryan Giggs has been appointed player-coach at Manchester United and former defender Phil Neville has also joined the backroom staff, the English champions said on Thursday.

Giggs, 39, signed a one-year extension to his playing contract in March and will combine his new duties with being a member of the first-team squad.
