KUALA LUMPUR: Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has vowed to tackle the match-fixing problem that has plagued Malaysian football head-on.
“We have noticed a worrying trend, with the recent spate of match-fixing scandals in Malaysia, and it’s now incumbent upon me to fight this problem and try my best to rid (Malaysian football) of this scourge,” he said after chairing a meeting with the newly-formed Integrity Committee of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) at the National Sports Council (NSC) in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
