Rhodict to play it safe in early dives

NATIONAL diver Bertrand Rhodict (pic) may opt to take the “safer option” and not try any new tricks as he gears up to compete at the Paris Olympics.

The debutant has been polishing two new dives for the men’s 10m platform arsenal but will probably keep the more technical dives in his holster during the preliminary rounds on Aug 9. National diving technical director Bryan Nickson Lomas said Bertrand had been getting comfortable with the new dives, but has not perfected the execution.
