THE pain of missing out on his baby daughter Nuraishah Zulaikha’s birthday today has been softened somehow with Mohd Syafiq Puteh finally claiming his first individual SEA Games title.
Syafiq showed he is ready to step out of the shadows of experienced seniors Ooi Tze Liang and Chew Yiwei after splashing to victory in the men’s 3m springboard individual competition at the My Dinh Aquatic Centre yesterday.
