China’s absence gives divers a lift

Golden shot: Pandelela and Mun Yee are looking forward to the Diving World Series in Montreal.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Pandelela Rinong-Leong Mun Yee could benefit from restrictions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, when they take part in the Diving World Series in Montreal, Canada from today.

China’s reigning world champions Lu Wei-Zhang Jiaqi would have started as favourites for the women’s 10m platform synchro event but are absent due to the travel restrictions back home.
