No winning debut for Syafiq in Diving World Series

PETALING JAYA: There was no fairy-tale debut for Malaysian diver Muhd Syafiq Puteh in the Diving World Series when he partnered Nur Dhabitah Sabri to finish seventh in the mixed 3m springboard synchro event at the opening leg in Sagamihara, Japan.

Syafiq-Dhabitah were in third position after the first two dives but tumbled out of contention after that and settled for seventh at the end of the six-dive competition with 304.80 points.
