Time trial turns to tribulation for Fadhil as virus infection disrupts title defence


PETALING JAYA: Mohd Fadhil Zonis has been denied a chance to defend his men’s elite 1km time trial title in the Asian Championships in New Delhi, India, after he was floored by a virus infection.

The 26-year-old’s name was scrapped from the keirin event yesterday and he was replaced by Mohd Ridwan Sahrom.
