PETALING JAYA: Winning a first-ever medal for Malaysia at the Para Cycling Road World Cup in Adelaide, Australia has bolstered Mohd Yusof Hafizi Shaharuddin’s confidence of pulling off a similar historic feat at the Paris Paralympics later this year.

The 27-year-old, who looks up to Olympic silver medallist Azizulhasni Awang, showed he has what it takes to emulate his illustrious counterpart in track cycling after snatching bronze in the men’s C1 road time trial event in the season-opening World Cup leg yesterday.
