Scorching races in Angkor Wat with photo finish to decide winner


THE weather was scorching outside Angkor Wat in Siem Reap but the men’s criterium race was just as hot with road cyclist Nur Amirul Fakhruddin Mazuki (pic) and Indonesia’s Terry Yudha Kusuma in a neck-and-neck fight for gold.

The 55km race took the riders around the vicinity of the historical 900-year-old temple grounds and it was Amirul who managed to get inside the break-away group.
