Fariz ready to repay coach’s faith at Asian meet

PETALING JAYA: National junior cyclist Mohd Fariz Haikal Mohd Kadir will have big shoes to fill at the Asian Championships in South Korea from Oct 17-21.

The 18-year-old has been named as the replacement for the country’s top track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang and he will join Mohd Shah Firdaus Sahrom and Mohd Fadhil Zonis in the team sprint event as Malaysia aim to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
