MNCF to appeal over downgrading of LTdL

PETALING JAYA: Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) will be making an appeal to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to have the 2020 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) reinstated to a 2.HC ranking.

UCI management board member Amarjit Singh said on Monday the decision to downgrade the event to a 2.1 ranking was because there were no World Tour teams in this year’s edition in April.
