BELFORT, France (Reuters) - Vincenzo Nibali has not given up on being a contender at the Tour de France in the wake of a demanding Giro d’Italia despite losing ground in the first hilltop finish on Thursday, his coach said.

Nibali is one of two active riders with titles on the Tour, the Giro and the Vuelta a Espana.
