Para cyclists deliver


Pedalling success: Malaysia para cyclists Muhammad Afiq Afify Rizan (back) and Muhd Khairul Adha Rasol beat Japan’s Kazuhei Kimura-Takuto Kurabayashi in the two-heat final of the men’s (B) tandem sprint event at the Asian Cycling Championships in Jakarta yesterday.

PETALING JAYA: The national para cyclists brought joy to Malaysia with a triple-gold feat while Muhd Shah Firdaus Sahrom stepped up to bag his first career silver in keirin at the Asian Cycling Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Nur Faizah Aziz earned the first gold for Malaysia when she clocked 5:19.674 to win the women’s C3 individual pursuit final at Rawama­ngun Velodrome yesterday.
