UCI chief condemns Wiggins for labelling drug cheat Armstrong an 'icon'

LONDON (Reuters) - The president of world cycling's governing body the UCI has said it is "unacceptable" that former Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins still regards disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong as one of his icons.

David Lappartient, who was elected head of the UCI in September last year, was responding to the fact that five-time Olympic gold medallist Wiggins has included Armstrong in a book about the most influential figures in his life.
