PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Azizulhasni Awang warmed up for the new UCI Track World Cup season by romping to the men’s elite sprint gold medal in the South-East Asian Track Grand Prix at the National Velodrome in Nilai.

Azizul, despite having just started training a week ago, blew the cobwebs away in style by beating Indonesia’s Admadi Puguh in two heats in the final to emerge as the only Malaysian winner in the elite ranks.
