SINGAPORE: The day belonged to juniors Muhd Daniel Haikkal Edy Suhaidee and Anis Amira Rosdi as they enjoyed surprise podium finishes in the Asian Cycling Championships at the Izu Velodrome in Shizuoka, Japan.

Sixteen-year-old Daniel claimed silver in the men’s junior points race final with 23 points – just one ahead of South Korean We Seok-hyeon.
