National cycling body hopes Firdaus reconsiders quit decision

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) deputy president Datuk Naim Mohamad will try to talk track cyclist Mohd Firdaus Mohd Zonis out of retirement.

Firdaus, a bronze medallist for Malaysia in the 1km time trial at the Track World Junior Championships in South Korea in August last year, decided to give up cycling after failing to recover from a serious back injury.
