Cyclists want replacement velodrome for training

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) have welcomed Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin’s suggestion to build a replacement for the Kuala Lumpur Velodrome while waiting for the Class One velodrome in Nilai to be built.

The Kuala Lumpur Velodrome in Cheras is set to be demolished next month as the land it sits on has been sold by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to a private developer. However, this leaves national cyclists with no place to train.
