KOLKATA, India (Reuters) -India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah produced a five-wicket haul to help rout South Africa for 159 and put the hosts in the box seat on day one of the opening test at Eden Gardens on Friday.

India picked a four-pronged spin attack for the series opener against the world champions but it was Bumrah's 5-27 that wrecked South Africa, who were 57 for no loss at one stage.
