Cricket-Bangalore name batting consultant Bangar as new head coach

(Reuters) - Royal Challengers Bangalore have promoted batting consultant Sanjay Bangar to the position of head coach for the next two years, Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson said on Tuesday.

Bangar served as the Indian national team's batting coach from 2014 to 2019. He played 12 tests and 15 one-day internationals for India between 2001 and 2004.
