Gayle to retire from ODIs after 2019 World Cup

(Reuters) - West Indies opening batsman Chris Gayle will retire from one-day internationals (ODI) after taking part in this year's World Cup, Cricket West Indies said http://bit.ly/2DPnOjX on Sunday.

The 39-year left-hander has scored 23 centuries and 9,727 runs in the 50-over format -- second only to Brian Lara among West Indians -- since making his debut against India in 1999.
