NOTTINGHAM, England (Reuters) - England's Joe Root and James Anderson shared a remarkable test record 10th-wicket partnership of 198 on the fourth day of the first test against India on Saturday.

The pair surpassed the previous best of 163 as the home side were bowled out for 496, a first-innings lead of 39.
