‘Big boys’ look set to make Cup semi-finals

Newcastle’s Brazilian striker Joelinton could prove a serious threat in the Cup game with Man City.

MANCHESTER City will not be making a clean sweep of all three pieces of silverware in English football this year, like they did last season.

They surrendered their league title to Liverpool on Thursday when they were beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and left them no mathematical chance of catching the Anfield club. But Pep Guardiola and his exceptionally talented squad of players could add the FA Cup to the League Cup that they won at the beginning of March for a third straight season and fifth in the past seven years.
