MBSA’s tug of war squad won the gold medal.

THE Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) tug of war team emerged as champions in the recently concluded Putrajaya KL Tug Of War Club Championships 2019.

The event which took place at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur was organised by the Federal Territories Ministry in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur Tug of War Association.

Malaysia was among five countries who participated in the international championship. The others were Brunei, Singapore, South Africa and China.

The participating teams competed in more than 10 categories. Team MBSA won the gold medal in the Outdoor Senior Men 680kg Traditional category after defeating Team Semutango from Sungai Buloh Prison and took home RM2,000 cash and medals for their efforts.

The MBSA tug of war team had won many titles in a number of events organised by the Negri Sembilan Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Sungai Petani Municipal Council, Jasin Municipal Council and Teluk Intan Municipal Council.
