Tourney soaring to greater heights

Australia’s Iconz played exceptionally well to upset favourites Borneo Eagles 17-14 to win the final of the Borneo Sevens last year and will be back to defend their title this year.

THE Borneo Sevens International Clubs Rugby tournament to be held at Eagles Rugby Club from March 23 to 24 continues to raise its standards every year apart from it being internationally recognised.

Sabah Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Frankie Poon, in announcing details of the tournament, praised Eagles Rugby Club for their dedicated efforts in successfully bringing such a high-level tournament to the state, particularly Sandakan.
