MBSA A emerge the strongest in tug-of-war

THE Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) tug-of-war team was crowned champion and third place in the Tug-of-War Closed Championship 2019.

The event, organised by the Kapar parliamentary constituency, was held at the Bukit Kapar field in Klang.

A total of 10 teams participated in the competition. MBSA Team A defeated MBSA Team B to enter the semi-finals of the event.

In the final, MBSA A defeated JD Putra while MBSA B beat Penjara Sungai Buloh in the third-fourth place match.

MBSA A took home RM2,000 along with medals while MBSA B received RM1,000 and medals for their efforts.

“This achievement is inspiring and has contributed to the improved image of the city council in the eyes of our community.

“We encourage our staff from various departments to get involved in sports activities as they can help us to become healthier, more energetic and disciplined,” said MBSA corporate and public relations division head Shahrin Ahmad.

The MBSA tug-of-war team has also emerged champion in championships held by the Negri Sembilan Drainage and Irrigation Department, Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Sungai Petani Municipal Council, Jasin Municipal Council and Teluk Intan Municipal Council, among other organisers.
