Children from selected schools are only allowed to take part in the tournament if they are above a certain BMI.

A RESEARCHER from Universiti Malaya said 30% of Malaysian children were overweight and most of them would likely end up obese in their adulthood.

It was this concern which led Dr Haireen Abdul Hadi from the medical faculty of the university to introduce a new sport in Malaysia – walking football.
