Government agencies and NGOs pit football skills in Miri Mayor Cup

The winning team, Wisma 2, receiving their prize from Yii.

MIRI: Miri Mayor Cup 2018 draws together 24 teams from governmental and non-governmental agencies for a seven-day football competition.

The competition came to its finale where Wisma 2 team scored 2:1 against Miri Police Department (IPD Miri) team to win the cup.

Second runner-up Miri City FC secured their spot by beating OHM FC with a penalty kick 4:2 after a full game draw at 1:1.

The Cup was organised by the Miri City Council Staff Social and Recreation Club (KSRK MBM) and sponsored by Sacofa, City Sport and Rise Event and Fox Sport.

Miri mayor Adam Yii was present during the prize giving ceremony.

The champion received RM2,000, first runner-up RM1,200 and second runner-up RM700 with trophies, medals and certificates.
