(Below) A total of 128 pupils will battle it out at the National Finals at EduCity Sports Complex in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

SOME 2,800 primary schoolchildren nationwide took part in the inaugural Perodua-Education Ministry Badminton Talent Development Programme (BTDP) this year, which will culminate in 128 pupils taking part in the national finals this week.

The programme was launched in February this year by Perodua and the Education Ministry. BTDP is a five-year programme that aims to identify and cultivate future Malaysian badminton talents among schoolchildren aged between nine and 11 nationwide.
