Tough battles in qualifiers

THE Prudential Astro Masters qualifiers in Southern Malaysia, yet again featured top quality golf and a closely fought competition that saw another four players book their tickets to the grand final in Cambodia.

Seven handicapper George Wee and Choo Tze Chin (12 hcp) emerged with the gross and nett honours at Horizon Hill Golf and Country Club in Johor Bahru, while Abu Samah Kechil (4) and Mohd Hairull Sauren won the equivalent at Orna Golf and Country Club in Melaka.
