Runkawi proves to be huge success

It was Langkawi’s first sunset marathon with royalty, together with about 2,000 participants from countries such as Kenya, Spain, France, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines and locals from all over Malaysia taking part.

A popular destination for leisure and sports tourism, Runkawi Half Marathon was a new initiative to further boost the jewel of Kedah’s sports tourism sector and to promote the island through a mass run. The first edition sunset half marathon featured 5km, 10km and 21km races.
