SOS games gives special athletes a chance to shine in track and field

THE scattered showers throughout the day did nothing to dampen the spirit of athletes who took part in track and field events during the Special Olympics Selangor (SOS) State Games 2017 held at the International Islamic University Malaysia in Gombak.

Instead, the intellectually challenged athletes, chinned up to the task ahead, living up to the Special Olympics athletes’ oath: “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt” taken that same morning.
