Boxer Crawford gets jail for repair shop rampage


LOS ANGELES: Unbeaten super lightweight world champion Terence Crawford, five days removed from his latest title defence, was sentenced to 90 days in jail over a disturbance at a Nebraska car repair shop.

Judge Marcena Hendrix, telling Crawford that he was not above the law, also ordered the 29-year-old champion to serve two years’ probation and 120 hours of community service. He must undergo random drug and alcohol tests and pay the owner of the body shop US$6,000 (RM27,000) in restitution.
