PETALING JAYA: Bowler Mohd Hariz Adlan has surpassed his own expectation in the Malaysian Open.

All he wanted was to make the cut for the second round but he surprised the field by upstaging some big names like Timmy Tan, Rafiq Ismail, Hafiz Zainuddin and Syafid Ridhwan Abdul Malek to take the first spot in the men’s first round. Only 16 bowlers make it to the second round and the 21-year-old Hariz finished first with 1,812 pins over eight games.
