Women’s trio teams on guard after surviving scare in first round


PETALING JAYA: The odds are stacked against the national women bowlers in the ongoing World Championships, and they have to improve the consistency of their shots in order to clear their second-round hurdle today.

Competing in Pool 2, both trio teams - Natasha Roslan, Sin Li Jane, Siti Safiyah Amirah Abdul Rahman, and Nora Lyana Nastasia Norkamal, Gillian Lim, Esther Cheah – survived a scare to finish second and third with nine points each in Group A and B respectively to book their spots in the second round at the Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club yesterday.
